Welcome to Youth for Policy (YfP)

Empowering Voices, Shaping Policies!

Welcome to Youth for Policy (YfP), a flourishing youth network in Bangladesh dedicated to nurturing and empowering young minds through active engagement in public policy discourse. The youth network had its evolution from a national youth consultation. The resulting effect from that was a Youth Manifesto, which was submitted to all political parties in Bangladesh prior to that year’s national election. This initiated the organization’s focus on providing a platform for youth involvement in policy-making. Learn, connect and act – because at Youth for Policy, your voice matters and your impact is our legacy. Step into the YfP world – where advocacy meets action, and where youth empowerment molds policies for a brighter Bangladesh.

Since 2018, YfP has solidified a network of over 12,000 youth actively engaged in public policy advocacy, across 40 districts in Bangladesh. The network currently operates through 27 active district-level committees across 25 districts, engaging a volunteer base of more than 600 members. Aggregately, these efforts have reached approximately 50,000 community members through various awareness campaigns and programs.

An essential part of YfP’s operations is the advanced level residential policy training program named “Policy Camp”. For now, approximately 242 youth leaders have accomplished this training. The graduates of Policy Camp then are recognized as “Policy Champions”, they execute a hybrid course called “Policy CampX” to disperse knowledge on policy advocacy to an extensive community. As of now, above 4000 youth participants have been reached through this course. Then, the Youth Manifesto which represents a unified, youth-driven vision, developed through nationwide surveys that have engaged more than 1,300 young participants.  Furthermore, the Youth for Policy Fellowship Programme – which recognizes and celebrates outstanding young individuals for their commitment to fostering a more inclusive society has now reached a milestone of 100 youth recipients. Moreover, currently the high-impact competitive event that empowers young participants titled “Policy Hackathon” engaged with approximately 150 youths.

Additionally, YfP ventured into digital education through the initiation of a MOOC titled ‘Public Policy 101’ on Mukthopath, which is the largest online learning platform administered by the ICT Division of Bangladesh government. At the moment, the course has appealed to over 6000 enrollees.

As we bridge the gap between aspirations and action, We at YfP invite you to be a part of this extraordinary journey.
